Introducing The Doctor

The Doctor I'd like to introduce The Doctor. He's not a time lord, but he does have crazy skills with a screwdriver. The Doctor (Psychology) is one of those rare builders with artistic ability, technical wizardry and years of experience.

He didn't build model cars when he was a kid, he built computers.

The Doctor did high end corporate shows for ten years, using many props and devices he built. His "day job" was as an independent contractor to Verizon, Samsung and Apple. He did coding for many years. There are smart phone components inside our new De-Constructed Cube.

The Doctor has been with us for over 6 months now. He is well versed in the outlaw products. He has been mentored through the past several months. He's part of the team that will continue to produce the classic outlaw props on our menu.

The Doctor brings his own style and a variety of awesome tech including coils, touch tech, RFID tech and the new Cube smart phone tech. Along with our classic items we will be producing new props like The Cube!

Outlaw Effects Presents

As you boys know, I've been producing the Relic, Templar and recently released the Warlock.

These are my line of "which hand is it in, and is it heads or tails medallions"

We'd like to introduce the latest evolution to the line, "Duel". An aged wood medallion. A medallion with history and provenance.

With Duel, for the first time, you will not need a ring or any other device to know, not only which hand it's in, but whether the medallion will be heads or tails up when they open their hand.

You can set the receiver to short range mode 2-6 feet from your spec, or long range mode, 10-20 feet!

The "werks" are embedded in the medallion.

The cool part is, the medallion has symbols on each side, so you don't just say "it's heads or tails" you actually do an expanded "reading" of what they have chosen.

In the tradition of Relic, Templar and Warlock, Duel takes the extraordinary to another level of deception.

Duel is also available as a custom piece. That's right, you can give us the artwork and we will put the design of your choice on the medallion. If you wish to do a custom order please use the Custom order paypal button. You'll need to email me the artwork. The images are hand engraved so as long as they're not to complex it shouldn't be a problem.

Duel is in stock now!

Thanks guys!

Duel is not a discountable item

Chris D.When Outlaw Effects announces a new release, our ears tend to perk up. We know we're in for yet another treat. We know that Rick will once again delight the community with a product we have never seen.

Duel is no exception. An ancient wood medallion with mysterious, esoteric symbols etched into either side, and as you stand several feet away from your spectator, you will always know which hand she hides it in. And you will always know which side faces up.

What separates Duel from similar effects is that typical "Outlaw twist" that we've all come to love.

An ancient wood medallion.

I had mine customized. Yes, Rick offers custom etchings at no extra cost. I wont divulge what I had etched but let me just say that once again, I am floored by Tim Wisseman's craftsmanship. Tim even includes a mini aged box to store the medallion.

Imagination, my friends. Duel will spark it. Duel will have you jumping for joy and thanking Rick and Tim for sharing yet again, another masterpiece.
Ran PinkI just received mine today. My custom designs turned out soooo wondrously beautiful, and it is aged to perfection. I couldn't be happier. The fact that the Duel is customizable is a dream come true.

The "back end" is small and powerful and the vibration is very silent. After receiving it I put in new batteries (included) and was able to get between 18- 20 feet away in long distance mode. On short range mode about 2-4 feet.

The back end also emits an LED light that signals "heads or tails" as well, a very nice additional touch...

Since I've got family and friends around for Thanksgiving weekend, I thought I'd try it out on those that know I'm full of tricks. I performed a basic which hand, which side, lie detector sort of thing with the premise that he who holds the amulet will not be able to lie without giving themselves away.

Even though I brought a lot of attention to the amulet, explaining its "powers" etc, NOBODY suspected that the amulet had anything to do with it.

They attributed the effect to my psychological awareness but they couldn't understand how I knew which side would face them when they opened their hand-they were baffled. I admit I had fun messing with their minds.

The Duel passed the Pink family test. I love it! I'm wearing it!

R. ClowerI just got mine and haven't had a chance to play with it much but quite frankly, I knew instantly it was another winner. I thought I'd be used to the Tim Wisseman/Outlaw quality by now but when I opened the package, I could only stand in silent awe. Gorgeous.

Here's the thing about Tim's stuff as well as Outlaw: One glance and you know they LOVE what they do. Each item is MORE than you paid for. It's almost as if they know you too will be standing in awe wherever you open the box...and they delight in that knowledge.

Again, everything looks as if it's been stored for decades in an old, mysterious curio shop. The detail and weathering is motion picture-prop-perfect on both the amulet and box, the latter a beautiful added bonus that has nothing to do with the effect. Without it you'd still be getting your money's worth and then some. With it...well..I don't know how they can afford to do it.

I don't know of anyone else out there who is making stuff this cool and unique especially with this obvious love for their craft. Man, I hope they continue to create together for years to come.

LoochOK, so last night was a repeat performance for a client that books me each year. I had my custom Duel with me for the first time and I was apprehensive as I am with all new things.

Nearly each group I worked with, I used my Duel. I absolutely love the simplicity of the unit and the freedom it gives me to focus on the presentation of my routines. The reactions were great and full of laughter (which can only be a good thing)

There is absolutely NO WAY anyone would suspect this "wooden" little charm could possibly be an electronical gizmo, it looks too innocent and a bit gypsy'ish.

Duel is an absolutely incredible bit of kit. Rick & Tim have done a fantastic job. Very few new items gain my interest, this did and it has gone straight into my permanent walk around repertoire! 10/10
